Description

Beef and Bowtie Pasta in Cheddar Sauce is a comforting dish that combines tender beef and bowtie pasta in a rich, creamy cheddar sauce. This delightful recipe is perfect for family dinners or gatherings, providing a satisfying meal that is simple to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or chuck
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter (or regular butter with 1 tsp minced garlic)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef pieces and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side until deeply golden and crisp on the edges. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic butter and let it melt while scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer for about 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, then reduce heat to low.
  5. Add Velveeta cheese, stirring constantly until melted. Next, stir in cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until the sauce is thick, creamy, and glossy.
  6. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the sauce, stirring to coat each piece thoroughly in the cheesy mixture.
  7. Return the seared beef to the pan, gently folding it into the creamy pasta. Let everything warm together for about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
