Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak tips
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear in a skillet with olive oil until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Add butter to baste during the last minute.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for one minute. Add heavy cream and milk; whisk in softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses along with additional Cajun seasoning until thickened.
- Toss cooked penne into the sauce, then add seared steak tips and gently mix to combine. Warm for 1-2 minutes before serving.
