Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak tips
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
  2. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear in a skillet with olive oil until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Add butter to baste during the last minute.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for one minute. Add heavy cream and milk; whisk in softened cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses along with additional Cajun seasoning until thickened.
  5. Toss cooked penne into the sauce, then add seared steak tips and gently mix to combine. Warm for 1-2 minutes before serving.
