  • 2 (15 ounce) cans great northern beans, drained
  • 1/2 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add cubed chicken and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Stir in diced onion, celery, bell pepper, and minced jalapeño; cook for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and flour; stir for an additional minute.
  4. Gradually pour in chicken broth while stirring; add beans and bring mixture to simmer. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
  5. Finally, add shrimp and heavy cream; cook until shrimp are pink (2–3 minutes). Serve hot.
