Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 2 cups cabbage
- 1 large carrot (julienned)
- 1/2 bunch green onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 12 oz chow mein noodles (uncooked)
- 6 tbsp oyster sauce
- 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tbsp light sesame oil (not toasted)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Whisk together oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cook chow mein noodles as per package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
- Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium heat. Cook bite-sized chicken pieces until golden brown; set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté carrots, cabbage, and minced garlic for a few minutes.
- Return chicken and noodles to the pan. Pour the sauce over everything and cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.
