  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 oz medium shell pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • Reserved pasta water (optional)
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the shell pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain, reserving some pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear seasoned chicken until golden-brown and fully cooked; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add heavy cream and cream cheese; stir until smooth. Gradually mix in Parmesan cheese until thickened.
  4. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and half of the mozzarella until well coated.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet or plate it atop the pasta; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and let melt before serving.
