  • 1 lb fresh chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp regular soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock or water
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Bring water to a boil in a large pan and blanch chow mein noodles for 20–30 seconds. Strain using a colander without rinsing.
  3. In the same pan, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté onions, cabbage, and celery until softened (about 1 minute).
  4. Push veggies aside, add remaining oil, then toss in strained noodles and prepared sauce.
  5. Stir-fry everything together until coated evenly and heated through. Serve immediately.
