  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beating for about 4-5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Sift together cake flour and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined. Divide batter among prepared pans and smooth tops.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes in pans before transferring to wire racks.
  5. For the filling, beat heavy cream until soft peaks form; mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, blend cream cheese with strawberry jam and gently fold in whipped cream and chopped strawberries.
  6. Assemble by layering the pound cakes with strawberry cream filling between each layer and frost the top with remaining filling.
